From Targeted Leads to Tangible Revenue

Blog cover image

When one of South Africa’s leading luxury real estate developers approached us to support the launch of their newest high-rise in Cape Town’s CBD, the brief was clear: generate 1,700 quality, contactable leads in the five weeks leading up to sales day.

The development?
Eighty-two modern city apartments -studios, one-beds and penthouses - designed with the investor in mind. With starting prices from R1,215,000 and the potential for a 12% rental return and over 10% capital growth, the appeal was strong. But strong doesn’t mean guaranteed - especially in a competitive market.

That’s where we came in.

Strategy First. Always.

As one of revX’s longest-standing clients, this developer knew our approach well: we don’t chase vanity metrics - we focus on revenue.

With past performance data pointing to Meta as the ideal channel, we built a highly targeted paid media campaign. Our creatives were engineered to speak directly to investor priorities - capital yield, short-term rental optimisation, and managed property solutions - ensuring the messaging hit home from day one.

Smarter Spend. Better Leads.

Once live, our machine learning system did what it does best - monitor, analyse and optimise in real time. Budget was allocated dynamically to top-performing ad sets, and low performers were cut early.

From week one to three, impressions and reach more than doubled. By week four, reach hit its highest point despite fewer impressions - an encouraging signal that our audience was engaging more deeply with each ad served.

Performance by the Numbers

In just five weeks, the campaign delivered:

2,179 qualified leads (vs the 1,700 target)

R39.53 average cost per lead (well below the R70 benchmark)

43,480 outbound clicks (target: 30,000)

1,442,523 impressions and a reach of 670,760

And then came launch day.

92.6% of units were sold within the first hour. 76 out of 82 apartments gone.
Within 48 hours, 90% of buyers had returned signed agreements. All from a media spend of just R86,129.73 - with over R100 million in property sold.

Why It Worked

This wasn’t a fluke. It was the result of smart targeting, compelling creative, and a campaign driven by data - not guesswork.

At revX, we don’t believe in passive marketing. We’re here to drive results that move the needle - whether that’s leads, traffic, conversions or revenue. And when the numbers speak this clearly, the value of a focused, performance-led partner becomes undeniable.
